Pyrometers for the Plastic -, Bio -, Glass and Lamp Industry
This type of pyrometers measure the surface temperature of plastics,
biological objects and glass. The measurable temperature range
extends from approximately 10 °C to over 1.000 °C. The
operation wavelength are typically selected from 6 µm
15 µm. Here normal glass and/or bio or plastic material are
perfectly obscure .

Certain pyrometers are designed for continuously monitoring the
surface temperature of active (i.e. very bright) lamps. For the
discharge lamp technology the following advantages result:
- The bulb can be driven in its optimal temperature range,
- thus has a higher life expectation
- and improved radiant efficiency .
- The thermal behavior during ramp up and shut down can be
optimized.
Glass and/or plastic pyrometers can be offered with IR light conductor
and purging gas (for very dusty/oily machines).
