Pyrometers for the Plastic -, Bio -, Glass and Lamp Industry
This type of pyrometers measure the surface temperature of plastics, biological objects and glass. The measurable temperature range extends from approximately 10 °C to over 1.000 °C. Certain pyrometers are designed for continuously monitoring the surface temperature of active (i.e. very bright) lamps. For the discharge lamp technology the following advantages result:
- The bulb can be driven in its optimal temperature range,
- thus has a higher life expectation
- and improved radiant efficiency .
- The thermal behavior during ramp up and shut down can be optimized.
