Multi-Channel Pyrometers for Inhomogenious and Transient
Temperature Fields
Multi channel pyrometers provide fast informations with higher order
from the measuring field. A matrix of up to 64 parallel
pyrometers are directed toward the glowing measuring field. The
individual and fast pyrometer signals are simultaniously processed for
the target information. Accordingly a desired output information
(like position and value of like highest temperature gradient, center
of gravity...) is available continuously in real time
.

Typical output signals contain in particular a condensed spatial
information, e. g.
- the temperature gradient
in X or Y direction (value and/or position)
- the maximum -, minimum or average temperature
and/or the homogeneity of the measuring field
- the center of gravity and/or the
place of the peak temperature
Multichannel pyrometer are developed
by us also with sorted fiber bundles. Both rectangular (with x
and Y-coordinates) and round of measuring fields (with polar
coordinates) can be realized. The pyrometers are compatible with
ordinary laser tools. An adjaption to the application field can
take place with variable objectives.
The high processing rate and the ready-to-use output of condensed and
processed signals is the substantial difference ito ordinary camera
systems with image processing.

Pyrometers

The target field is covered with a pyrometer matrix (here 2 x 4
arrangement from light conductors). Clear target markers - here
blue and green - inform about the orientation and size of the
pyrometer matrix on the target area. The complete information
processing is carried out in somewhat less than one millisecond,
therefore the output data stream has a rate of 1000 times per second.
